I just want an estimate what I'm looking to spend on a rb25det into my '90 s13..... Just interested. I'm trying to have it done around winter. I have about $4000 cash and a '87 bmw 325 i got free worth $3000...... so?

my friends and i were estimating this, with everything as long as you do the wiring yourself and dont get screwed when you have the driveshaft made.

it comes out to about 1000-1500$ + cost of engine.

of course this includes mounts, clutch, driveshaft, service manual (r33 and the 240's) fluids and a few hundred bucks for miscelanious stuff

you can do it a lot cheaper if you use the crossmember and take your chances with the clutch that comes with the clip.

Mine cost :Clip:$2500Shipping:$800Drive shaft:$400Fuelpump:$150The rest was all fine from the clip I got. It had only 30000 Km on it. I used the KA radiator and fan and also the RB fan. Wired them to a switch inside the car. I also used the SOHC Steering lines and just wound the high pressure line up inside the engine compartment below the intake tubes. I dont see any reason that if you are going to do this yourself it should cost much more than that. If you need help let me know.

I used the ones that came with it. I figured that it was such a low milage car and I cleaned & regapped them. They seem to work perfect.

You can use the lines you have, you just need to move the reservoir to the drivers side and have a high pressure line made up. I used the RB reservoir and turned the bracket inside out.

When you look at what I've got so far, I got a potential 12-13 second car for under 5Grand, Including buying the car!! I dont really think that is up there. My clip included a 3" Blitz cat-back exhaust, all body panels and lights (which I've already sold) in pristine condition, 2 transmissions a driveshaft(R33 RB25 Auto) , Everything you would need to put together either manual or automatic. Even came with a good clutch!

I got it from a place called RS Imports, they are no longer carrying RB clips, but they do get alot of other motors in all the time. Their email is [email protected]. The guys name is Ryan. Seems to be a good guy to deal with.

Detroit I think is what he said in the thread I linked to previously. The clip looks like it is an auto but he says it is manual. I couldn't see the clutch cylinder in the picture though.

I have the automatic trans if that is what you are talking about with the torque converter. Email me and I will send it. What are you willing to offer?
