How long did it take u guys to do your engine swaps, i mean, getting the engine in and running, not modifying it a ton. Also, are there any tips u can give me, like things u ran into, or found out would have been easier done another way? I have a 91240 hatch to let ya know, thanks.

Might find some useful stuff under this search, also check http://www.srswap.com and look at the FAQ section. This question has been asked literally a dozen times.

It took me about 1-2 months. The process isn't too hard. If you have everything needed, you can probably do in a week or so. I think it's actually easier than doing Honda motor swaps. Just do your studying and you should be fine. Some things you might consider is to buy an intercooler set with piping and buy the hot pipe from srswap.com or something. That way you don't have to worry about finding a place to make pipes for you. Another thing is to make sure you have good tools and a couple of friends to help you out.If you have any questions, feel free to ask on this forum. You'll always get an answer here.

yea, i got my dad who built a mustang, my friends dad complete with engine crane and who also built a hot rod, and can do engine tuning, my friend who worked on transmissions for 2 years, and my trusty 240sx rebuild book. I am not getting a aftermarket intercooler, not until the car is running at least and doing ok, but i know the shop that is building me an exhaust system and probably a downpipe can build intercooler hoses. I guess ill just take eat part step by step, and see what happens from there.

Took me about 4 months. Reason was that the car was at my friends house so I could only work on the car for like a half hour at a time.
