Hello chaps

Was just browsing through this forum and noticed most of the verts on here are still rolling with a NA KA engine. Now, coming from the small island over the pond, where every S-chassis from S12 onward is turbocharged, I thought I might ask how many have either turboed their KA's, or swapped in CA/SR/RB engines with turbochargers - are there any that are supercharged?? Is there a reason there are so few??

They are most excellent when running about 260hp BTW

Most Verts usually remain a little more tame for some reason. We do have a few around that are SR/RB/KA-T. A ton of the hatches/coupes are boosted (or some V8 swapped).

I've only seen a couple supercharged KA cars and maybe a few pics of boosted and supercharged cars.

I'm just in the middle of turboing my KA on my coupe, so the Vert is just a cruiser for me, nothing crazy.

It's not just USDM 240sx vert. JDM s13 silvia and s15 varietta came with NA SRs too. I've heard a couple of s13 silvia was special ordered with sr20det and that's about it. idk, Nissan thought putting turbo engine into the vert was dangerious or something?? They were marketed for female drivers anyway. I'm still rocking NA KA and no complaints. I'll swap with sr20det when it goes bad eventually.

RB20 here.

There are a surprising amount of RB Verts on the forum, and quite a few others that are boosted.

Nothing like the feeling of boost with the top down. The turbo sounds so much louder with no roof.

SR'd Vert checking in 5-speed swap.. loads of fun.. putting 215 to the wheels. Just swapped in the J30 VLSD about 3 weeks ago. Way too much fun. Have to restrain cooking the tires all the time..lol
