Just wondering how many whp you can go up to with the N1 oil pump before you have to upgrade to the big dollar ones. Btw this engine is in a r32 gtr skyline thanks.

It just has a higher pressure spring, I've read the gear breaks. You need to worry about RPM not whp.

Since we're on subject about N1 oil pumps. How long does a oem hold up until switching to N1? I'll be building my 20 this winter and dont want to be slowed down by oil.

From what I read this was a flaw with the crank design found on earley rb26 engines that was fixed in the late 1990 versions of the engine where the crank is actually longer where it goes through the oil pump. If you go over 7000rpm on the old engines the gear inside the oil pump can break. I seen it first hand on my buddies gtr skyline.
