Mine lasted to about 19 psi but that was with standalone management and a good tune. If you've replaced it and it's still leaking then you need to check the block and head surfaces and probably get them milled.

oh man, there is so much headgasket stuff on here right now. I think once I'm done mine im gonna do a small write up and FAQ for it.

Lots of guys use Felpro and love it. Enjuku sells an OEM engine gasket kit that works, Tomie has a nice one if you have the cash. Make sure to get some ARP head studs for it though.

head or block decks are not straight. The stock gasket is durable enough. It's not boost that unseats a gasket, it's detonation, or an overheated warped head.

I second that! The stock headgasket has held to up 28psi of boost at 5-7 second intervals and have not let go. A bad tune and some detonation and it can be smoked with little boost.

That's okay, it'll work just fine.

How would one look up purchasing one of these felpro/oem gaskets/gasket kits? In my experience with auto part stores, they do not take item numbers but rather they have to look up an elaborate scheme of make-model-year-type of engine-etc...since my CA is a foreign i need to find a cross over part i assume... Again i am looking for a head gasket, preferably felpro. Also i do need a kit in order to assemble my engine.

1988 Nissan Pulsar 1.8 NACA18DE headgasket works.

OR1985 Nissan 200sx 1.8 Turbo CA18ET1985 Nissan 200sx 2.0 NA CA20E

Basically most ET parts are interchangeable with the CA18DET in RWD format, such as the water/oil pump and whatnot. The 20E would be for the accessory belts, since the ET uses serpentine. Also you can use the ET O2 sensor if it needed to be replaced.

The timing belt would HAVE be the CA18DE though. If you have a FWD DET, use the pulsar parts instead

The coolant temp sensor is the same on pretty much all modern Nissans.

OH and all the CA head gaskets are identical and interchangeable from what I understand. CA20E/CA18ET/CA18DE(T)

slightly O/T, what is the compressed thickness of the stock HG, 1.2mm? Has anybody measured the deck height clearance on a CA18 block (how much the piston comes below the deck at TDC)
