Is that possibly an old JP patrol car? The colors are right, any evidence of lightbar mounts or police radio gear?

Dude, your Hakosuka is absolutely beautiful. One word of caution. Don't let the purists see that 26 under the hood. Most guys over here would lynch you for taking out the S20 in leiu of a 26. I like it though. Looks nice and tidey in there.

And the KenMary is hotness too. Just don't like the wheels.

Thanks. The Kenmeri is actually a clone of a Japanese partol car believe it or not. The guy I bought it from actually did all he could to make it as accurate a reproduction as possible. I really don't know why. The paint will be changed as soon as the car arrives. I am currently waiting on some reproduction GT-R flares and spoilers for the car. Once they are done, the car will be shipped over. And don't worry about the wheels, those will be junked just as quickly. I have a set of 16x8 and 16x8.5 Watanabe RS8 wheels for her. Ultimately, she will be a full GT-R clone painted in red with gloss black Wats. The tired L series engine will be replaced with a high compression N/A RB30 with an RB26 head. An S15 six speed has been modified to bolt to the motor. I probably won't go as far with the suspension and brakes on this one compared to the Hakosuka. At least, not all at the same time again.

I wouldn't count on that S15 six-speed to handle the RB30, SR20s bust those things left and right. RB25 transmission would be a safer bet.

I don't expect any problems with the transmission. It is an '02 model and as such is the stronger of the Silvia six speeds. Also, remember this is going on a non turbo RB. Yes it will have a ton of torque, but probably no more than 350hp or so. There are plenty of S15 Silvias running a lot more than that on SR's. Also keep in mind this car will most likely not be pushed too hard very often. I will probably do the occasional track day or drag race as Firebird Raceway is just down the road, but it is more likely that both of these cars will continue to be trailered more often than raced.

I would expect a larger displacement high compression motor to be more abusive to the transmission than a smaller turbo one. I have seen several SRs demolish their boxes without the torque the RB30 should be producing. I wish you luck sir and we expect more pics.
