Get an emergency push button release thingamabob. Or put another key in your wallet.

just wire a key somewhere on your chassis that you can find it...hard brake line somewhere, something like that. that reminds me, I need to get a spare key cut for my car.

I got one for ya...locking your keys in the car with a turbo timer. did that once in my GSX...got home from working the 12 hour 7p-7a shift, hit the parking lot, set the e-brake, locked the door, got out of the car, walked to the apt...noticed my car hadnt shut off yet...only 45 sec on the timer when I got out...looked for my keys...ahh shucks...had actually left it runnin. had to call a lock smith to get the car open, cause my dad had the extra key and he was at work...now I have two extra keys...one in a magnetic key holder under the car and the other hanging up on the key board in my kitchen...

I have never locked my keys in my car running but I have left my car running for a few hours many times. Thats why I need a turbo timer.

Never locked my keys in my car *knock on wood*. The again, I only lock my car from the outside (yummy keyless entry), and since I lock her every time I get out for more than a minute (unless she's in the garage), there's no real plausible way I could do it.

Ive broken my spare key opening the door at the mall. Good thing my friend had his car. On top oof that the original keys with the keyless entry was lost somewhere in my house. After a frantic search, I found them in a couch downstairs.

I had to push the window out a lil bit on my 240sx with a flat metal stick then made a cloths hanger straight like a hook to stick it in window and unlock the car. PLUS IT WAS RAINING!! - FORGET keeping a spare key!!! u can impress your friends by keeping a spare flat metal stick and a cloths hanger under your car and then just lock the car on purpose on them BAM!!! PULL it out and tell them a fake story of your car boosting days. j/k.

A PRETTY EASY WAY TO BOOST A 240SX 89-94, i wouldn't recommend trying it.

Well I don't have the turbo timer issue, since it's N/A, but I have convenient keypads on my doorhandles. That way, I don't carry keys in my wallet to be stolen, but I can still get into the car...unless the battery's dead.

I wonder why they didnt continue that door keypad with the later Maximas?

this might be a dumb question but...what does the ignition have to do with the turbo or the turbo timer ???

With a turbo timer you car runs a while longer after you turn the ignition off and runs through different cycles to cool the oil down so it doesn't cook your in your turbo.

When I park my 240 I usually let it run for a few minutes because I don't have a turbo timer. I sometime leave my car such as going to clock in at work, go into a friends house, and come back 5 minutes later and shut my car off. Sometimes I end up getting sidetracked and leave my car running. I have locked my door but the window was always cracked so I could get back in.

EXACT same situtation happened to me when i had my prelude, and i had a turbo timer on it. to make it an even more ****ty situation, it happened right after i dropped in the built motor. long period of idleing on a fresh motor = not good.
