I have tried like 2 different forums and they all sent me here. I just need some info about them. I am looking at swapping a rb25det into my 93 240sx se auto. I also need to find some info on a 5 speed conversion and also if I can use my stock wiring harness or if I have to get a 5 speed.

You are now in the right forum now. Start searching.

I don't know of anyone that has done the auto swap. mine was a 5 speed 92SE, and I paid mckinney to do do the wiring. If you can't find answers here, you might just call them.<----- Sponsor

mine is automatic rb20det, it swapped right in...

it swaps right in just like a 5-speed but i had to get a custom one-piece driveshaft made.

here is how to do an auto-> manual conversion

http://www.240sx.org/links/installs/s14_5speed_swap.htm

also you can use the rb engine wiring harness and the 240sx interior harness and it should work you probably have to swap sensors...

You'll be using the RB wiring harness. SO if your ka is auto, I don't think that would matter. Or did you get an rb that is an automatic?

I did the manual RB25 into an auto S14.

Its just like the regular swap. Used my auto harness and everything. only difference is i had to put a pedal in and clutch line. you can even use the skylines clutch pedal (but it will be longer then your others).

I talked to my friend about it that ownes a shop and he has one of his engine suppliers looking for a good one. He just left for japan I assume and will hopefully have one picked out and here within 2 months. If not, no big deal. I still have my honda accord to get to work and around. I am getting a stick so I need the conversion because I hate auto. I just need to find some wiring info. from what I understand I have to rip out the 240 engine harness and use the skyline engine harness and computer. Anyone know??? I also need a parts list if you guys have an idea so I can start looking. Drive shaft wont be a problem. I can get a custom one around here. Thanks alot!!

Id say your best bet would be to search this forum. If you prowl it hard enough you will find everything you need.

On a side note:My buddies old 240sx that was sold is now toting a rb25det with a greddy intake manifold and fmic, along wtih a koyo radiator, tein he coilovers, apexi 3" exhaust and a s15 diff. Its a dang nice ride and I cant wait till its finished. He has also converted it to rhd.
