I've been getting the check engine light on my 95 240. and i went under the hood to find oil dripping over the o2 sensor attached to the headers. i figure it shorted out my sensor. a guy quoted me 150 to fix the problem saying there's more than one o2 sensor in the car.How many o2 sensors are there in the car and how is it different from each other?

any help would be great! :)

easy and you can replace them your self dude. S14's have two O2 sensors. One at the exhaust manifold right under your hood, and the other under your car past the first catylitic converter.

$80 bucks to replace and using only a few twists of the wrist, a full replacement.

DONE.

Well my FSM says so, that they have two.And if you got oil dripping on an O2 sensor, you have more than one problem.

awesome thanks. is the one on the cat the same as the one on the exhaust manifold? and yeah, it looks like i have oil stains around the rubber gasket on the back of the engine where i can't reach. I replaced the valve cover gasket last year and it seemed to run fine without it. I'll try to clean it up over spring break and see where it leaks
