Did you know that the voice in the trunk was actually a very small record player? I thought it would have been cool to find the recording and make my own, you know 'hack' the 280. Well how naive was I to think that it would be on a tape! Oh no, nothing that high tech, it was sure enough a small record player of all things. Also you supposedly could order a man or a woman recording but I think that was just a rumor.kerrton wrote:I had a 1984 Nissan 300ZX, 2-seater, T-roof, 3.0 L, auto and it was sweet! The thing everybody thought was the coolest was that it talked. If you left your lights on and tried to walk away, it was say in a sexy female voice "lights are on", or if your door was ajar it would say "left door is open". That was all good until it started malfunctioning and would not stop saying "left door is open" over and over again.
My 1982 Toyota Soarer had a voice system too that warned when lights were on or doors were open. Of course, since I was in Japan, the voice spoke in Japanese..lolkerrton wrote:I had a 1984 Nissan 300ZX, 2-seater, T-roof, 3.0 L, auto and it was sweet! Also, everything electrical in the car went crazy, and basically I sold it with 150,000 km on it in 1999 because it was pretty much unusable and too expensive to fix all the electrical components. So I think I got $1000 bucks for it, and the power train was in perfect shape but because of all the electrical problems it wasn't worth much in terms of cash dollars. I wish I had it back now, although after owning my Rogue FWD SL for 2 days I'm loving it, everybody can't believe what a sweet vehicle it is, especially because you don't have to compromise on anything with it - great looks, great utility for cargo and people, awesome gas mileage and really fun to drive/sporty but not too sporty to the point where the ride is hard, and reasonably priced.
