No! If 15000 people posted, my NICO addiction would spiral out of control.

he is right, i visit a forum daily for my line of work (adult webmaster) and they have 3338474 posts as of this second... but every time you refresh there is about 6-10 new threads... and the second you post a topic... you only read all your wrote... wait an extra 10seconds and you will have honestly at least 3 responces already. its a pain in the *** to keep track of everything, the admin disabled email and PM and notifications because it would just kill his BW

some times at high post point (4-5pm) you will get 20 new threads ever 5mins... its a real pain...

put it this way... they just had their 3million'th post content in mid feb.

too busy

**edit: in the amount of time it took from when i checke their stats.. writting this and posting the other sites thread count when up to 3338486

FYI: over 5500 members have 5 or more posts. Over 11,000 have at least 1 post.

Total posts are good, but seems a lot of people posted lots then left for some reason or another..At the same time, I see people who have been regged since 2002 with sub-200 post counts who still post now and again.. hard to get an accurate reading without some sort of system tracking when people last logged in.

In response, what I've noticed is many people I know in real life( ?? ) don't frequent message boards, work too much to post regularly, or just come & go and don't really get into it. I know lots of people who still give me that look as they say, "you spend HOW much time on the internet?" ...like it's an odd thing to do. Some people use the internet to email a couple people and that's it.

Imagine a life without the hours of freetime to post on nico..?Many people I know in my industry spend time after work frequenting many automotive message boards, but post rarely. Family, kids, girlfriends... all cut into and take away the time needed to be a frequent poster.

My freetime and my post count(although not nearly as high as some) come from me deliberately eliminating outside influences other than work, workout, and NICO in that order.

to respond to ^

i know, i not only surf NICO, i surf anything, look up new things, check ebay for cheap finds, and just basically keep up with new technology and new things on the web so i dont end up having to go to a college course for "introduction to internet" at age 45!!! eheh...:D

and how about members that have more than 500 posts and have been member for at least a year? i mean most of us who post regularly have many posts but we have been members a while, so posts add up of course...but those that are members for 2 years, and still only have 1 post??? WTF?

i would have alot more posts, but the "noodles" thread got deleted.. :(

you kinda disappear for a week only to show up at random though:D

and honestly, I don't know what I'd do with out extra time to post whore, granted, it'd probably be a lot more productive, but really, who the hell wants to make progress when they can be laughed at and ridiculed:D

Now the total is at 14,996....closer to 15,000. When you check members it racks up nearly 5 or 6 pages last time I checked that had 1 to no posts at all. I guess they join but never say nothing, silent people.

I've been here for nearly 2 years and getting ready to hit 800 posts. Does anyone ever go back and look at their old posts when they were new here and think to themselves why the hell did I say that or do that? I've gone back to when I first came here and think why didn't I think before posting. LOL :D Now I just sit back and laugh about it all. I think you grow more wiser after being here for so long you know what to do and not to do.
