How many miles?

I have a 2002 Altima 3.5SE that has 117K miles. The car drives like new and the engine still has power and runs great. The car is mint. I'm planning to put on a CAI and wondering if 117K miles on the tach is beginning to push the limit. Any thoughts on this one?

Installing an intake isn't going to change anything about the longevity of your motor unless it ingests water or is unfiltered.Regarding longevity - you're going to be the one who sets the precedent. Remember, your year group was the first to get the VQ in an Altima. The motor was only introduced a year prior to that, too. Maybe 5.5-gen guys on the ORG will have some maintenance guidance, too. Things like timing chains, head gaskets, ignition components, etc. are potentially due after 100k.
