How many miles per gallon does your 240sx get. Automatic and 5 speed. How much more does the 5 speed get compared to the auto.

If you have any tips on how to get the miles up please share them with us.

1992 KA24DE 5spd. 25mpg rural driving. Bone stock. Premium Gas.

2002 Sunfire GT 2.4L LD9 all motor 5Sp. 32Mpg rural. 176 Whp. Yes laugh at me saying all motor, but it is completely built, done by a previous owner. Premium Gas.

Pay to play is usually the case but I'm not too happy that my 240 can't compete with my Sunfire, it could be the gears, my Sunfire redlines at 175kp/h in third so the gear ratio's are obviously a little different from my 240's.

The best way to get good mileage is to drive smooth, think momentum. If you know traffic is going to stop let off and coast/brake early and avoid ever stopping so that you don't have to expend the energy to move your massive block of metal back up to speed. The faster you accelerate the worse you will do when it comes to gas mileage, I accelerate reasonably, but definitely slower than 99% of other drivers on the road and I find it works wonders. Drive the speed limit, not only is speeding bad for your license and insurance, it takes exponentially more power to maintain a higher speed, basically the faster you go the harder nature tries to hold you back and to overcome that you need more power, in your car you get that from making a bigger explosion which takes a lot more fuel. Basically you just have to chill.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!

finally, a mpg post w/o all these clown bs'ers coming in saying they get 28 mpg on their KA city mile and 38 mpg highway. GTFO w/ that bs.

the KA gets terrible mpg, that was one thing i hated about the car. i regularly got around 21-22 in the winter mixed, and 23-24 in the summer mixed. sometimes i got 19-20 mpg more on the city, and the most i've ever gotten was 26.4 mpg mostly highway. it makes no sense to me how the stupid KA gets mpg of a v6 but it's power output is equvalent of a civic. my KA was running great too.

nissan makes some great cars but in terms of efficient cars, they'll never beat honda or toyota. another reason why i'm never buying another nissan again.

My thoughts exactly. I had a 99 gt mustang that got the same damn mileage as my 240 and had a s***ton more power. The KA is the worst excuse of an engine ever. Its got the power output of a civic and the mileage and powerband of a v8. I've got a 400 big block with about the same powerband and redline. They are pretty durable though.

96 S14 OBD1 SR20DET, S15 turbo 5 speed. I get around 21 city 25 highway. I could probably get a bit more with an AFR tune so I'd say 27-28 highway is possible.
