This question came up over dinner last evening. How many miles have you driven since you've gotten your driver's license?

Let's see... Excluding service and delivery jobs I've had, I average about 40 - 45K a year and I've been driving for 22 years, so between 880K and 990K. I should break the million mark within the next 24 months for sure.

I'd say around 150k, excluding being a auto/truck parts delivery driver. That's a rough guess but i've been driving for 9 years and when I sold my Ranger(which I bought new when I was 19) a couple of years ago it had 80k on it and i've put 23k on the I30. Between those and the other 17 cars i've had it's somewhere close to there

Uncountable. I did tons of driving in the military (Iraq, Saudi, Djibouti, etc), drove most places in Europe as I'm afraid of flying, drive just about everywhere I can in the states, I have a job where I get a new rental car each week so I cant track milage, and so forth. Basically unless you're a truck/taxi driver my age, if you've had a license for 13/14 years or less, there is little chance you've logged more miles than me.

Just going off the mileage from the cars I've owned...prolly around 150k over 8 years. Add a little more from driving my parent's cars.

I have been driving for 10 years. I put 125k on my crx, after driving my parents car and an older CRX for about 35k miles. Another 100k on various cars until 2005. I put 110 k on my WRX in 4 years. I worked repo last year, I went through 3 cars and logged 78k miles, in 7 effing months! So, about 448,000 miles in 10 years. My wife and I bought a new Versa in june of 2008, she drives it 99% of the time, it has 60k on it. We need to stop going places.

I am an old fart. I have been driving since 1974 ... that's 36 years at about 15k per year average.

So, I must be near the 550,000 mile mark by now.

I'm going to brag in the opposite direction. I've driven less than 30K miles total in 9 years of driving.

I'm estimating just under 70k in eight years. The first few years I didn't really need to drive big miles all that much, especially when I got to college. I would park my car for a couple weeks at a time. Then I was probably 5k a year or less. I am now tallying them up more quickly, as I generally drive over 1k a month (still not a lot, I know).

15000 miles/year sounds about right. This is a small, unscientific sample, but with the data gathered thus far, (those that have provided years + mileage), the NICO average appears to be a bit over 24,000 miles. Impressive

IMHO, that's partly due to this being a real group of enthusiasts that enjoy driving, plus we have several "road warriors".

@39 years of driving, average goes up/down depending on where I'm living. My best guess would be 750K.

Probably a bit over 200k? Less lately. I've cut back on travel.
