Stock, I get about 400 miles to the tank. I can push it a little more if I'm doing alot of highway driving.

And yes, you definatly have a problem if you only went 130 miles. Did it go 130 miles till it ran out of fuel, or until the gas gauge said you were out?

I went from NY to MIchigan in 2 and a half tank of gas traveling around 75~85mph.. 660 miles totoal so that's about 264 miles per tank. with engine RPM at about 3000~4000 for most of 660 miles.

Made it from NYC to Chicago (stopping off at Midway Airport, and back home to Buffalo Grove (40-50 miles north) on $50 worth of gas starting with a full tank. That was with the stock KA, wonder how many mileage will be with the SR? Anyways, my gas gauge is a bit off, yours may be also. When I fill up, it stops under the full bar, but the gas light doesn't come on until waaaaay under the empty bar.

i average about 25miles to the gallon can get 30 if i drive conservativly and i'm just cruisin along on the high way. So whatever that adds up to. I usually try to refill every 200-250 miles. Basically stock KA with 80,000 miles on her. Ren check your spark plugs, air filter and such.. can all lead to reduced mileage. Short story time, my cyl #4 plug was cross threaded so it sat up about an 1/8inch to high didn't think anything of till one day it wiggled its way out. Had the threads fixed and i'm proably getting another 3-5 miles to the gallon. Misc. little things can really drop the mileage

Fill your tank to the top and take note of your odometer reading. Drive 100 miles. Refill your tank and the amount of gas you put in is how much you consumed for 100 miles.

15.88 gal/tank for 91/92 240 sx time 22 mpg city driving equals 349 miles/tank or 562.12 km/tank.

My S14 gets about 400-420, and that's with combined city/highway driving. My car just has bolt ons, timing bumped to 25 and 93 octane fuel

350+ easy, not driving very conservatively, basically stock. Also I have no worries about running out of gas, but I usually look for a station around 300. Never have put more than 14 gallons in at once. Kind of off topic, my friend has a ford bronco and he gets 8 MPG, and only has a 10 gallon tank. He can barely drive an hour between fill ups!

My '95 with 160K can get about 300-325 miles on a full tank, when I'm not using the A/C. Using the A/C I get about 280 miles. That's for city/highway combined.

I highly recommend that you follow vancouverbc's advice first. Fill it up to the top, refill it again when it hits 'E', and note how many gallons you put in. I have the same feeling that I think vancouver is, that you will probably fill it up with 3gal or something like that. In that case, you just have a bad gas gauge.

or maybe he filled up with some really crap gasoline, sometimes it just ist the best quality, and you car suffers because of it. Aren't there federal standards that have to be tested every time a station fills there tanks?

I could very well be your gas gauge. Just check your gas milage the way vancouverbc said (I do this almost every time I fill up). My gas gauge never goes all the way up and it goes waaaay past E. Crap gas wont change milage that much, certainly not cut it in half. You don't need a mechanic to tell you that your gas gauge is off.

I get ~29 MPG almost 95% of the time, but I don't drive it that hard and only have an intake and plug wires.

My best MPG was 34 on a long distance trip going ~80MPH on flat roads. Very pleased for a car with 100K on it.

I usually get around 225-260 city, and as much as 330 highway between Portland and Seattle, with my S14, S13 was better it think.

I get 250-300 in 13 gallons (that's when I hit the E even though I have 4 gallons left) when city driving. On the highway I get around 400 miles per tank with similar amount of gas.

It depends on the car. I have IHE, jwt ecu, bkr6e-11 spark plugs, cams, etc, etc.

I can drive to Rancho cucamonga CA from phoenix AZ on one tank of gas with some left over. I would say about 400mi. All highway. I can do about 300mi+ daily driving city. I try to never get low enough for the light to come on.

I can get from 350-400 miles on a full tank and I usually shift at 3k normally and shift at 4-4.5k when pushing it. I get about 23-25 mpg with the occassional touge drive.
