It's still running strong. It was well maintained. I've got a stack of receits 1.5" thick of factory nissan work. The lady that owned it before me was a traveling pychiatryst(<-- don't know how to spell it). It's all highway miles.I need to replace the plugs, since there only good for 105k.

Traded in my Z two weeks ago with 91K miles. That's since August 2002. One of the first 350 in USA. Never had any problems with it. Just compliments

'07 purchased May 5 ... next time out of the garage it will roll over to 2K. The only road trip we have taken in our ZR, was to San Diego. That was about a 6 hr drive from Phoenix. We think of you coupe drivers when the weather is nice and we can roll with the top down.

Ya wow you really are almost done with yoru warrenty, so with that many miles in such a short period of time have you had any problems or even had to really use your warrenty for anything yet?

Thats great glad to hear it, i do some of the same in washing alot and getting more than regular matinence on it so glad to here mines going to last a long long time, i think what you have drivin in about a year or a little less i will drive in 4 years so good to hear, one last question tho you said you dont reve over 4K why not is that bad for the engine? When i got mine the Z guy at the place said it was a high preformance engine and in most cases it can take whatever you can give it, also that its a high preformance engin so constanty keeping the RPM's really low may hurt the engine, he actually told me it was good to red line it while driving like once every month or so? Im just wondering this because i love my car and want it to last as long as possible without any problems.

well no it's not bad really to run high rpms... IMO extra revs means higher stresses, lower fuel economy, and higher heat due to friction and exhaust gases etc. These stresses tend to distort materials over time, not that the life of the motor is severally compromised or anything, but i guess reduce stress, reduce wear... The motor isn't the only thing spinning, consider the transmission, lot of gears grinding in there and it hardly gets attention like the motor does, i kno some guys who never change their transmission fluid.. but the trasmission also generates heat and experiences wear... I have a manual trans and I try to rev match as best as I can each time downshift and upshift at certain shift poitns i've determined consistently... i noticed though if i was to enjoy spirited driving i tend to throw all that out the window when the adrenline starts flowing.. so I only do so sparingly.. Higher revs also mean higher rpms on accessories like the water pump and the other pumps that drive the components, and I'm while the engine might be great I'm not sure how the accesssories are... The motor is pretty well built, but I wouldn't say it's a high performance motor, but it's a really good street motor... high performance motors can take a lot of abuse, and while the Z DE and especially the HR version are powerful and have some design inovations it's still a street motor. I've found the Z's HR motor to be punchy and have sufficent torque for everyday driving, it happily chugs along at 1600-2k rpm around my town without the engine being bogged down.. i just give it a lil gas and i'm out.. also my car has 225 in the front and 245 in the rear... and their directional tires so it's not like i can rotate the tires to get the proper wear out of them.. so i try to wear them out evenly... especially after i learned how costly jst one tire was... ( I barely had a 1000 miles on them when i got a nail punction in my right rear tire.. no tire outlet carried the tire, i had to get it from nissan and it was like 465 USD for 1 tire... that was too expensive)

so that's why I drive the way I do.. not that I'm not enjoying my car.. I love the way it sounds, negotiates corners, rides, and it looks great..

Thats great, ya i wasnt questioning if you enjoy it or have fun in it just wondering about the RPM thing and how you have kept it up so well, but ya that sounds great i also rev match most of the time and have become really good at it actually which is good because thats not as much stress compaired to someone a little more sloppy , but thats great and thats for the detailed explination.

If your not racing it, it's good to keep the revs low. It saves you on gas and engine wear. Every once in a while it's ok to run the revs out and keep the engine used to it.

I got around 50,500 miles on my 03 touring, about 2500 of those are pure track miles, but other than that highway/city driving.
