So I got my 08 2.5S coupe about 2 months ago and I'm modding it up slowly but surely. Right now i'm focussing on the more inexpensive mods, so far i've debadged all but the burger, swapped the interior lights to blue, white leds in the license plate and i've got autopia fog lights on the way. I know they're a nightmare to mount but i'm handy enough to find a way.

So my question is, with having the color changing fog lights, would the LED strip beside the fogs be too much? I don't want to be looking like a christmas tree driving down the road. It would be nice if I could make them a functional strip by tying them into my turn signals and get GTR overlays, but I don't have the signals on my side mirrors so they wouldn't be visible enough I don't think. I'm also planning on getting foot well lights in the future, but again... how much is too much?

Hope this doesn't turn into a "what's rice and what's not" discussion...

I don't think having LEDs beside the fogs will be too much. If you're wanting to avoid looking like a 'x-mas' tree, make sure you get an LED strip where the LEDs themselves aren't too close together. You could always go the completely custom route of mounting individual LEDs one inch apart...

Well i won't be driving with the fogs doing the color change that's for sure.

Although i know you're semi kidding about the custom led strip, however i wonder if it would be worth the effort to actually do this using the individually prewired led's from oznium http://www.oznium.com/prewired-leds, it would be a lot of work but the look would pay off tenfold. Just have to make sure it's super straight, crooked strip = fugly

Not kidding at all, actually!I would suggest using the prewired superflux LEDs, personally. I just ordered the flat, flexible strip but next summer I might take on the task of doing them individually. If you're going to do this, remember to weatherproof them!

I thought those lights were already weather proof.. I was looking those but would they be too bright and cause a but of a merging light affect?
