Hi guys. I'm quite excited to bring my stock 04 G35 coupe to Toronto Motor Sports in "Cayuga" in maybe 3 weeks time. I've went to this same track a few times and I believe the track is at sea level or very close.

I'm so tempted to bring it soon but I still want to replace my fuel filter; My car seem to accelerate better with more fuel in the tank or so it seem. I'm currently running Shell V 91 oct. but will put Sunoco 94 a few weeks before I go. I will prolly retain my standard, original spark plugs which has 66K kms. on it which seem to be doing well still, ..after 5 yrs. But I'm still tempted to try colder plugs.

So I want to ask how many have brought their cars to the track whether be stock, lightly modified or with FI. Also what are your 60 ft. time and 1/8. I know it's a lot of fun, please share.

I ran mine last year before it was supercharged... Got about 6 passes in (track is 3 miles away).

Can't recall my times - I think I was in the mid-14's.

Can't wait to go back - with boost!

Fuel filter is integrated with the pump, no need for replacement. Colder plugs are only necessary if you have 100hp extra in mods to the car. Most stock G35 will run mid 14s. With just simple mods I've only seen a few go into the 13s. dont know about 60ft time or 1/8th

You should check out Dragtimes.com You can search cars, review what mods they have, and see what they ran at the track.

Dragtimes.com is as about as reliable as wikipedia. I could have posted that I ran a faster time thanm I did. It doesn't ask you to post a timeslip which is bunk...

Thanks for the replies. Hey I like the timeslip there. My FWD Grand Prix did a 2.1 60 ft. too, with a 9.1 ET on 1/8 and [email protected] mph. 1/4 ET.

To tell you the truth, this 04 coupe I have feels a little/tad quicker than my sedan, and I already added a front header conversion to my GP and tuned it more with timing. The GP has stock exh. manifold and stock cam when it did 14.1, and a big,big pulley, but 0 knock .

I need to work on that 2.0 60ft. on a RWD G35 coupe They always say RWD is quicker than FWD.

My plan is; I will empty the trunk of the car, rev up to 2000/2200 rpm, half tank of gas, VDC Off.. My 04 coupe is automatic

Even at Youtube, most naturally aspirated G35 run low/mid 14s' @ 98 to 99 mph trap speed.

By the way, ZZP Performance has a FWD, automatic trans. Grand Prix that runs 8.65 @ 156 mph. 1/4 ET. It's a 3.8 Lt. V6, twin turbo, custom header, intercooled .

Here on the G side there's I think only 3. But spread out throughout all of NICO there's quite a few.

I believe, anything with a 99 mph. trap speed is a 13.9 / 14.0 ET car. As I've learned, it's all about the 60 ft.! Hopefully I get 2.0 sec. 60 ft. or even better.

Any weight reduction? Like removing spare tire, floor mats, etc.

More canadian and gta/toronto members come hopefully.

Here's a few slips I got last year, maybe heading out next week to the track also, keep you all posted.

My best time was achieved with a removed spare tire, pulled mats, subs, etc. Launch at around 2 K, any more and you'll peel off the line. I have raced with my 20" wheels, I topped out at 15.1 at 93mph... see above left...

With my 18"s, it was 14.4, on a cool morning after staying in a hotel the night before, engine was cool, ran really tight all day. Later last summer, ran in Prince Edward Island, topped out around 14.7, racing into the wind, after driving 4 hours to get to the track . Engine was Way hot, too hot for any good times.

I found racing was soooo expensive, I dropped close to $450 one weekend at the track somehow?!? Hotels, gas, entrance fees etc... GOOD TIMES THOUGH! I MISS GOING!!!
