How many intelligent keys do you get when you purchase the Versa? 1? 2? 9? 10,000? :P

Same here. Don't lose them, either. They're expensive.

About $260 each, according to the dealer here. Not sure if that includes the programming or not.

Well I live in the States, so that's like $70 US... seems cheap to me.

$260 is alot of money.

So I guess I'll just tell myself this....a replacement is between $100-$300...DON'T LOSE THE STUPID KEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I'm driving with keyless ignition and I throw my key out the window, what happens?

1) you will need to take it to your dealer for programming anyway, and they're likely to charge you $100 or so because you didn't buy the FOB from them

2) be VERY careful buying FOBs off of ebay! I had another friend at work with a Pathy who bought two FOBs off of there, both "Nissan OEM", both "new", and neither would take the programming.

Yeah, after I got my iKey, the nerd in me did all sorts of experiments with it like getting out of the car when it's running with the key in my pocket. Lockout tests. Taking the Fob off the mechanical key and seeing if the Fob worked without (it does) and so on. I wanted to know what I could get away with in a controlled enviornment so I never stranded myself

The Canadian keys are not the same, since they don't have iKey. They have a seperate key and keyless entry fob.

Yeah I've said this on another thread....I have no idea why that is...do the Canadian V's come with Bluetooth wired in the car???

Because in the US, the "Convenience Package" comes with Bluetooth, Keyless Start (iKey), Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel, and Radio controls on the steering wheel.
