does anyone know how many factory amps are in a 93 se coupe 240 with the active speaker system? my rears keep cutting out, they are aftermarket. i just had a deck installed and circuit city tells me the rear amp is bad, i don't want to dump any more money on them so i found how to bypass the rear one on this site (well almost, the colors on mine are different than the ones in the write up)...arghhhhh. must be cause mine is a coupe? circuit city also tells me there are two more amps somewhere (i haven't read that here though) are they wrong?

also i can hear my antenna trying to go up but it doesn't, what would be causing this?

thanks in advance!

With aftermarket amps, it is hard to tell. Location and wiring could widely vary. Your antenna mast is probably broken or damaged. It is the metal part of the antenna that comes out. This could be due to lack of lubrication or physical damage. You could get the mast from the dealer or you could just go to autozone and get one for about 30 or 40 bucks. I think the mast for the stock antenna costs around 20 bucks. It is a pain in the butt to put back together tho. I replaced my power antenna on my altima with an aftermarket one. If you would like to know what antenna to use or how to install it let me know. good luck!
