Expecting my D2 coilovers this week and I really want to ride low for a while!! Even if it means ride low and slow!! Lol!! If anyone can help from personal experience or from friends you know with these coilovers... I'm rolling on 20" wheels with the eibach pro kit and although my front end was sitting nice over the tires the rear had too much gap IMO! If you have pictures showing your stance at said height it would be appreciated!! Thanks!

This all depends on what size wheels & tires your running, most important is your off-set.

With my sey up my M is about 26" from ground to all 4 fender lips. Keep in mind this is with 245/285 tire (20" wheels).

If your running 245/275 try setting them at 25.5"

You have to adjust the coilovers to your set up, every set up is different.

Yes, I figured every wheel set up would make a bit of difference... I am on the 245/ 275 set up. 20"x9" +35 20"x10" +35 wheels! I am considering camber for a while as I am attempting to gain a VIP look!! Eventually would like to roll flush and slammed not cambered since this is my daily until I decide to buy something. Thanks for your input, these will go on as soon as they arrive!! :dblthumb:

main factor will be the roads in your area and where you normally drive. If you have big speed bumps or dips on the the highway or wherever you go that will set your height to go off of.

20x10 with et35 wheel will stick out of the rear fender but the lower you go the more you'll tuck the tire.

Start by installing the coilovers first, get the car to sit as you like it.

Play with the camber last as this may give you the clearance (if needed) you need.

If your wheels still sticks out you may be able to mill 3 or 4mm off the back of the wheel. You don't want the wheel to hit the fender lip :nono:

Also keep in-mind the lower you go the stiff the ride must (front) be.

I would tell you to adjust the rear to about 20 clicks, front around 30.

I have my M set at 16 rear with 27 front. I"ll be going to 20 on the rear next time I take the coils off.

you dont want to go to low on the fronts , your catz are gonna hit any and every little thing , unless you dont mind not parking in certain areas or going out of your way just to go around the whole mall just to get in another way because of speed bumps ! ha ha! its all up to you , alot of people dont care if they scrape all the time , i know i do , mine are set at 25.5 in the fronts and 24.5 in the rears i barely make it over low speed bumps! once i change out my catz , thats when im gonna go a little bit , just a tad lower ! good luck and have fun driving like me , i drive like im on the track bobbin and weavin ! ha ha ha!

Thanks for the advice! Full tank of gas, got it! I plan on riding low so I've been checking for the best route possible where I go daily... Also, want Berks HFC to help with the scrapping... As far as my rear sticking out at 20"x10" +35 doesn't look like a problem right now but I'll play with the camber as best I can...

Thanks again guys ! :dblthumb:

now you need to take it on the highway and do some testing (xxx mph) to really see if you don't scrape, I would set the front higher

How many inches are you dropped (ground to fender lip)? and what size tire are you running?

Height on the front directly under license plate is 5", on the side in front of tire I'm at 4.5"... Rear from the side on front of tire I'm at 5.5" rear from the side behind the tire I'm at 8"... The rear bumper sits high as it is... :gotme

Its actually VERY LOW!! :dblthumb:

what would be the respective number settings for that height.

if I recall I think you said roads where you are bad, right?

same here in LA if so, I'm hoping when I go the CO route I can go lower than the HTs I had and still have good ride quality and not fret too much about scrapping/potholes etc

We have really bad street in my town, if you drive really slow with my full size tire it's ok at 26". I think I like it better at 26.25"

When we take long trips (4 people in the car) on the highway the car feels great but as soon as you start going over 80mph the small dips feel like big dip. Having only 2 to 4" space under the car that is over 4,000lbs is not great.

I think I may go back to 26.25" as when I'm by myself I have gone around 142mph with no problems, just run out of room to go faster.

I'm looking for that magic number that the car will look good, keep up with family (4 people) without problems and when I have a chance i can still enjoy my high mph runs(xxx).

Can I go lower even with my big tires? sure I can

Would it be safe? only until something happens

HT's gives you just a little more than 1 finger gap at all corners, CO's will let your fender lips be even with the top of the tire and still have a nice ride. When the time comes to go to shows you can drop it even more to a point that the fender lip is even with the wheel lip or even more but won't be drivable.

If your looking to be really low and would like to be slammmmed when parked you may want to look in to an air-ride system.

Ok, measured the right way and I'm LOOOW.... and even 25.25" both front and back!!
Tires are 245/35/20" front and 275/30/20" rear!! Rolling nice!! The stance is sick in person... Tires are tucking about an inch all around!! :dblthumb:

Also when you have a chance look under the car while in front of the bumper. Most will tell you that the cats do all the scraping but what has me scared is the front sway bar.

I hate when I have to drive over raised man-holes. :ohno:

On top of the sway bar is the oil pan.

Have fun but be safe.
