I have an '03 G35 with 55K miles. The engine seems to run fine. But i think I need to put new stuffing in driver seats, seems a bit too sunken in for my taste (previous owner might have been big person) And I assume it will eventually need shocks.

Is it worth doing any of this ? I just wonder how much longer the engine will last ? does it start to go bad or weaken at 100K miles ?

If properly maintained in excess of minimal manfacturers specs [frequent [90 day] oil and filter, air filter changes] 250,000 miles would be normal.

We have lots of 200,000+ mile Infiniti customers on G20, J30 and Q45

Based on history of Nissan engines, if one exceeds the less than stellor minimum oil and filter change requirements [90 days/3750 miles] and replaces the oem air filter every year the piston rings will be the first to wear excessively, some valve stem seals may leak... around 250-300k.

If you are evil to the engine the rod bearings will fail first!

Cold oil cranking is the most signficant wear agent.........................as with the BMW Mobil 1 test you can do way inexcesss of 1 million miles IF you only turn the engine off for oil changes and services................drive 24 hours per day at <100 mph on a racetrack.
