Looks like doing a dealer trade isn't going to work. The nearest A/C that I want is in Las Vegas (~1000 mi away). The shipping costs, the mileage, car sight unseen, so many factors; I think I might just order one.

How long do you think I'll wait for a Silver 2.5 CVT with moon roof and Convenience package using a VPP and delivered to Cheyenne, WY?

Any comments on personal experience with ordering A/C's would be greatly appreciated.

Will probably place my order tomorrow; dealer said 6-8 weeks. Anyone get theirs earlier than that? If my dad doesn't get called to work, we'll do it. Otherwise we'll wait until Monday.

8-10 Sounds like a better realistic outline.

I just got in touch with a friend of a friend at a Nissan, and hes giving me a GOOD deal for a 3.5SE. He cant find me what I want so I'm gonna have to order it. He gave me time line of about November

The wait is going to kill me!!! I've been on the search for about a month now searching for the right salesmen!!!

I'm suppose to hear from him in a few days while he gets in contact with the factory (I guess) to give me a exact time line.I would expect a wait though, Hang in there!

Thanks for the info. We've got a really decent salesman. Some nice old guy. When we decided to just build the car, we actually went back to him because he was the very first salesman we spoke to.

So far the experience has been exciting and not too stressful; considering we're buying under invoice and the dealer probably isn't thrilled about that.

The only thing that bugs me about my salesman is that he keeps offering me A/C's in the region in various colors. He doesn't seem to understand that I want a specific color and package. He looked so disappointed when we told him we weren't going to buy the V6 we test drove and were going to build a 4.

Don't worry about what he looks like...disappointed or not. It your money, not his.

I ordered mine with the VPP, no problem from the dealer, they honored it without question...but I'm coming up on 8 weeks. They are saying it is on a train from the plant to Lordstown Ohio...from there to a truck to my dealer. Maybe a week, maybe two...this part has been frustrating to say the least but I'm close now.

YES. Do not let a discouraged salesman allow you to purchase something that you don't want. A lot of people don't have patience when buying a car like this because they just want it too bad, at that point they make a poor decision. Of course I don't blame you for wanting your new car but just take your time accordingly. Good luck, I hope you don't wait too long

Went to the dealer today and he tried to get me into the car I want, but with premium package. That's another few thousand bucks we weren't planning on spending.

The salesman said there are no other A/C like I want anywhere. I got in the internet and found one in Henderson, NV!?!? Sure, its 1000 miles away, but why couldn't he find it. The saleslady even told me to have my salesman call her to perhaps facilitate a dealer trade. (the car the Henderson dealer would get is better than the one I want).I haven't called my salesman yet because I'm a little frustrated with him right now.

You're right about being patient. I'm already getting frustrated with my salesman. I just don't think he's working hard enough for me. A guy 45 minutes away was a lot more eager and enthusiastic to earn my business than this guy. This is Cheyenne, WY, so he's not that busy. The last two times we've gone to see him, he's just been standing around doing squat. I guess I expect him to be calling other dealers, calling me to keep me posted on progress (or even lack of), etc. Am I expecting too much???

Why he mentioned this, I don't know, but he told us he will only make $100 on this A/C purchase because I'm using a VPP. Is that total bull, or the truth? We never asked him about his take on the sale, he volunteered this info.

What kind of specific coupe are you looking for exactly?

Sewright:Help! I just located the A/C I want. The salesman told me his manager says that the A/C isn't included in the VPP! We cannot find any info online that says the VPP has changed policies to exlude A/C's. The only car excluded is the G37.

In his message, the salesman said he would research more on monday, as will my father and I. I think the sales manager is mistaken in this case.

We found an 800 number to call for support. We will call that number first thing monday to back us up, then we're calling the dealer.

So frustrating...the exact car I want, only 2 hours away. I have s/w at least 10 dealers, all willing to accept VPP except this one!!

just ordered my coupe yesterday.

3.5 SE, 6 Speed, Dark Slate, Charcoal Leather, Kick Plates, and Premium package.

8 - 10 WEEKS. This is going to feel like forever. There was only ONE 3.5SE Manual in ALL of Florida alone. I had to test drive a 2.5 6 speed (which was almost impossible to find as is.

I could never imagine buying a 3.5 in anything other then manual. Oh well to each their own I guess
