how long would it take to have a turbo rebuilt if you allready had the rebuild kit for a t25? this is the only thing after 4 and a half months that i need for my car to run.

It took the company I sent my T28 to, 5weeks, but he was waiting for the center cartridge from Garrett. If you already got the kit, a week tops.

A week?!?!

If you have the kit, its just a matter of taking the turbo apart (maybe a couple hours if you dont have the tools). Then putting it back together (another hour or less).

total time from putting my car on the lift and letting it back down to test drive the rebuilt turbo 21 hours.

i took my time rebuilding the turbo itself and i spent probably 8 hours at most dismantling, cleaning and rebuilding. When you rebuild it, clean it thoroughly. If you have some industrial strength cold carb, dip it overnight. Better is to have it blasted in a glass bead cabinet.

One last thing to note is that the retainer clips for the bearings are a PITA if you don't have the proper inner C Clip pliers.

Hey did you have a ball bearing t28 or just a standard type? If it is BB how much did it cost for the rebuild and where did you go?
