how long does it take for ex35 to learn your driving style

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

So how long does it take for your ex35 to learn your driving habits?

I was told either 50km or 1000km ......dont know which one is correct.. Once your car learn the way you drive, can you really notice a big difference ? and it makes the tranmission more responsive so no delayed shifting or hesitation ?

I also notice that today when you are in DS mode, the tramission shift from 3 to 1 and it skips the 2nd gear when downshifting.. it is that normal ?

Thanks

Re-setting the ECU can make some differences, although most are probably pretty subtle. It is a good question about how long it takes.

In DS mode when it downshifts on its own, yes. 3 to 1 is pretty normal when slowing down to a crawl/stop...BUT if you manually put it in 2, it stays there much longer until you come to a complete stop.
