Don't know if anyone can help, but I found this forum and thought I'd ask.

We put a deposit down on a 2009 Murano LE on May 9. The car we wanted was "at sea" and the salesman told us it would be here in two weeks.

As of yesterday the car is still "at sea" and since the two weeks is up tomorrow I think the delivery date was a little optimistic.

Just wondering if anyone has any idea how long the sea voyage from Japan to Vancouver Canada actually is. Obviously we're anxious to get the car and don't know if we're looking at waiting days or weeks for it to arrive.

Thanks in advance...great forum by the way!

First off, welcome to NICOclub, most of all, the Murano Forum! We are thrilled to have you here.

I think your dealer was a bit optimistic. Generally if it is at sea, you are looking closer to 3-4 weeks. Once it lands (I believe in L.A.), port installed options are added, and then the vehicle is shipped out from there. Once it arrives at the dealer, you are looking at another 2-3 days before the dealer has the vehicle ready to roll for you. Hopefullly the vehicle will be there sooner than later. Good luck, and enjoy your new Murano when it does show up!

Thanks very much for the info. That sounds more realistic to me even though we were hoping to have the car sooner. We test drove a lot of cars but really like this one a lot so I hope we don't have to wait too much longer for it to get here.

Appreciate you taking the time to answer!

I have to commend you on your patience! At 50, I'm still like a little boy on Christmas Eve when it comes to new cars. Hang in there, the wait is well worth it. I've had my Murano 14 months and the honeymoon still isn't over.

(I bought the one they had on the showroom floor.....How's that for patience? )
