When I first start driving my car in the mornings I immediatley start driving on the hwy @ 70-80 MPH and it shift into O/D after 30 second-1 minutes depending upon how cold it is, but it takes seriously 6-8 minutes of driving @ 70 MPH for the TCC to engage. After it starts to work, it works fine throughout the day. Is this normal??? If not, what can I do??? Car has 93K on it.

It just takes forever when first start driving when it is cold in the mornings. After the initial ATF warm-up 8-10 min you can turn off the car and let it sit for 3-4 hours and the TCC locks immediately like it supposed to when you get to 40-50 mph.
