Hi there, Every time I drive in front of car dealerships, I see stuff painted in the windows or on the cars themselves. I was wondering what was the name of that "paint" and if any of you know where to get them. Instead of sticking decals, I want to paint stuff temporarely and erase them when I wanna try something else. If I'm satisfied with my design, I just get a decal and voilà.

What do you think ?

It's called window chalk. It's available at office stores, usually in the same aisle as ballpoint pens. We use it in autocross to write car number and class abbreviations on our windows.

I've found this glass chalk stuff at Walmart. If comes off pretty easily when you need it do with a glass scraper or razor blade. Here's what my wife did to may truck after we got married. Notice all the pink.

That's part of the problem... They always come in freaks colors like yellow, pink and lime. To respect my Black & White car, I'm looking for those particular colors. Anyway, I'll probably be getting them on eBay, but I'll check my local Wal-Marts first.

Thanks !

Alright, so I bought the weird colored Window Chalk (pink+green+yellow+orange) and, of course, I wasn't going to use them on my car It's my friend's birthday, so while she wasn't home, I sneaked with the window chalk and wrote "Happy Birthday" (in French) in bright colors. Since it's dark outside, it's gonna have a much bigger impact. I didn't put any on the front or driver side windows for legal reasons, but the other windows are clearly marked I guess it's a pretty good product to do pranks

Now, I can't wait for my parents 30th anniversary !

I wish our friends had found this stuff when I got married. They wrote all over the windows and some of the paint with tempra paint! They figured since it was mixed with water it would come right off. We were still finding colorful spots months later!

Alright, so I found another solution to temporairly customize my car. You probably have an equivalent product, or even the same product in the States.http://www.pebeo.com Arti'stick Window Color. What's cool about this one is that you can apply it on any plastic or glass surface, and after 24 hours, the dried paint can be peeled off and sticked anywhere else. On June 24th, our National Day, I plan on drawing a Québec flag in white and blue, maybe with black borders. I'll prepare it the day before to stick it later.

This will also tell my if it's sticky enough to stay on the outside of the car for a whole day or more. Let's hope so
