This isbasically what I am getting installed if all goes well with my motor...(i.e. compression test, inspection)

S14 motor front clip...(which included some Z-Brakes)Brand New:Greddy VSPLGreddy DownpipeKoyo Flexa Lite (dual fans)Nismo MountsApex IntakeWalboro pumpWesco batteryExedy ClutchAll New gaskets/belts/Thermostat/Water pump/hoses etc...

Get ready....$8000 installed...(I do not have the time nor resources to do it myself)

Install will be done by a reputable shop in Socal too...what do you guys think? i am stoked I can't wait!!!

Oh yea...once I get a boost controller, what do you think I will be able to get power wise out of this?

seems like an ok price considering shops around here want about $6k for an s13 motor set installed without some of the stuff your getting. i imagine you could get about 275ish rwhp out of it

WOW...that sounds a little optimistic....275 you say? That must require some good tuning, especially with stock injectors...A llittle dyno time ahead me I see...

I just cannot decide on a boost controller...I have narrowed it down between the AVCR or Profec Bspec II....any comments, experiences?

sounds like an awesome setup, but if you can make the time I would, because it sounds AWFUL pricey. Might want to think about injectors as silkk mentioned, and I dont know if 240s have problems with FPR overrun with the walbro, but i might want to consider one for safe measure.

my stock fpr has been fine for over 10k mi with my walbro. i was also running an fmu for a while.

true i didnt really consider off stock injectors for the s14 engine are 370's. i guess you will be limited to about 250 rwhp

those boost controllers are nice but they are also expensive, especailly the avrc. i would go with a profec since its not too expensive and seems very user friendly. im using a joe p mbc that i got for $45 shipped and it holds 14psi very good

ya my stock FPR is fine... though Im sure its being ovverun; the ride isnt affected.

I woudl guess around 250whp on 13+psi or so with those mods (assumign test pipe as well). Nice price for everything and good luck!

FPR??? Fuel Pressure? Not sure what you guys mean...FMU? Fuel Management Unit???....Help a fella out here...

Should I think about a Fuel Regulator?

fpr = fuel pressure regulater

fmu = fuel management unit, increases fuel pressure as boost increases

Ok ok, so what is this "overrun" you guys are speaking of? Should I invest in a regulator to limit it? is it a bad thing? This is all so new to me...

I take it any of the piggy back system out there can handle FMU duties...???

i think what they mean is to actually over run the fpr as to make it weak from too much/stressful use. you will be jsut fine with your stock fpr.

you dont need an fmu becuse your injectors will supply enough fuel for the turbo your running. you could get a piggyback to tune the stock fuel curvve better but its not needed.

The only things I need then would probably be some good exhaust, BOV and a boost controller...

thats pretty expensive for what your getting. $8000 I would demand bigger injectors, piggyback, better turbo, and a nice football sittin on top... seriously.

heres a link to prices of all parts and installation from a shop around my area. Now Im not entirely happy with them as my car is sittin down there now but they do get the job done and theres a **** load of other shops just like em around here with just about the same prices.

Well, looking at the prices I can say that XAT is defienitely cheaper. But I have faith in Phase2...the shop doing my install...They clean you engine bay, fab you AC lines...clean the motor...etc...oh yea they finish in less than a week! I do not want my car sitting in someone's shop for 5 months!!! Quality installation work...no half-a$$ work...Although I would not mind the SAFC/BOV/Boost controller....thrown in of course...maybe I should haggle a little??? Anyone have experience in doing this with Wayne???

You know I looked at the cost break down, and really I am getting decent prices on all the parts...its the install...1700, that is the pricey factor...But then again, you get what you pay for...

by FPR overrun I mean that the high pressure walbro can pressurize the fuel too much, and the FPR wouldnt be able to control the amount of fuel getting to the injectors and the car would run RIDICULOUSLY rich. But aparrently it was a moot statement. My primary experience is with turbo DSMs, which usually always got FPR overrun with the walbro.
