Hi, I might get 240sx with SR20de, only mod to it was intake,,

how are they? I have 300zx twin turbo, and i was using it daily, and it pulls really hard

I dont usually speed, so as long as its slow as prius, i dont mind..

its 5 speed, and i want to know what is 150HP like,, lol

and,,,,, stupid question but how is the mpg for this engine?

im considering use it as daily driver.

Seriously it feels almost identical to the KA24. If you plan on doing any mods besides exhaust, you're not going to like the engine. It's hard to find any useful information on RWD DEs. But for a daily driver, it would be nice. My friend's DE in his Kouki got better gas mileage than my KA. I don't know exact numbers, but it was pretty good.

having owned both a g20 with an sr and a s14 with a ka, (both being auomatic) the ka pulls harder. could have something to do with the g20 being a little heavier, but it's still a 145ish hp engine.

The KA just feels like it pulls harder because it makes more torque.

if it is already swapped, why not

if your asking should you put it in, if the Ka runs just keep what you got

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. You WILL notice that difference. When I drove my friend's S14 with the sr20de I was dumbfounded by the lack of torque.

It would make a great DD, it has great gas mileage, and lighter than the KA. If its a good one, it will run smooth as butter, and wont give you any problems( had 0 out of mine(in stock trim)).

If you've driven 240sx with a KA you will notice a fairly noticeable difference in low end torque, but you will feel it pulling harder on Top End. they also rev to 7k or 7500.. i forgot.depending on what year SR it is ( s13 or s14) the s14s are equipped with VTC which makes it a little quicker. the s13 N/A SRs have NO vtc.

I vote buy this and use it as DD. Mine made 130whp and 110ft/lb tqe.keep in mind these motors dont cost but 700-900. dont get conned into spending "turbo SR" prices or "Rare SR" prices. because they are NOT that rare.. ive owned TWO N/A S14 SR's.. so yeah.

theirs my review.i vote go for it. you'll be slow, feel slow, and get good gas-mileage! at-least with a 240 you have the opportunity of at-least looking cool while going slow.

G20s are ugly.

Thank you guys,, I see. I might get it.. but Im not sure..

It is already swapped, and I think he said its from S15,, because he already has S15 front ended and rear ended. he owns tuning shop and it is really interesting...

even though i drive Twin turbo daily, I dont really speed,, i live near police station so that explains it..

I like that it is lighter and it is smoother.. lol if i get the car, i will post picture and video. Thank you guys.

I thought the s15s were 6 speed, or was that just the turbo?

Another member with experience here. I had a 96 sr20de in my s13. They run good and get decent gas mileage. They are not fast at all and don't really have enough power in stock trim to really get any enjoyment. IF the priced is right I would by the car, although I think the KA is a better dd motor.pic of the old motor( I did NOT install this, I purchased it this way, it ran:

funny cause i had the engine plate from the car it came out of. it read 96.(Could have been the wrong tag). I know it is a s13, I am not stupid. I wish I saved it, but when i sold the engine set I gave the tag to the new owner.
