How hot under the hood??

Is 300 degree hosing good enough for under the hood? Or should I buy the 500 degree stuff?

Edit: It will be used as IC piping.

your car should run at about 180-240 tops so thatll be fine

Well thats the engine temp, but I would imagine that under the hood it is hotter because of the exhaust.

i would think the opposite since the heat source is the engine itself

For use right on the turbo (ie hot pipe couplings etc) get the highest temp rating you can. Turbos get HOT. Under hood ambient temps get super high. I love working on my car after I warm it up here in the lovely Texas heat.

good choice. it would suck to have to replace melted hosing, plus the risk of an engine fire ;[
