how hard or easy is it to change an alternator on a 4th gen Maxima?

hi. earlier today my battery light came on then soon after the abs and e-brake lights. then the car died and the battery was dead. im assuming that means i need a new alternator. so how hard is it to do? and is it not worth the trouble and should i just have it installed instead of doind it on my own? thanks!

Definitely doable in the driveway. It's a little tight but not bad.

Battery and brake lights do sound like a bad alternator.Still, if you have a multimeter, it's worth testing just to be sure. Output should be right about 14v.
