We just got back from visiting Ter-tech in Lantana Fla. We went down there to see about buying a front clip and a sr20det swap for our ka. They said that when they pull out the single cam ka they just throw them away because most people dont want anything less than a dual cam. I don't know how hard it is for you to swap but I know it is a lot of work and almost enough just to sell the car and find one the way you want it. There is a lot of used 240s for sale out there at great prices right now. If you don't see one locally look in the next town. They are everywhere because they are getting older and cheaper and it costs a lot to do an engine change. I just bought a beautiful 92SE with a blown head gasket 157000 miles for $800. The rebuilt engine runs three times what I paid for the car. No wonder there are so many for sale. Take the course of least resistance. Sell it and find something with the dual cam if that is what you want. By the way, we dicided not to do business with Ter-Tech. They are great guys with lots of experience and low prices but we decided if their shop was an example of their work habits we'll pass. What a mess. Worse than a junk yard inside and out and you had to step over tires, transmissions, hoses every step of the way. I don't see how anyone can work in a shop so dirty and unorganized. We asked them if they have it in writing what you get for the money but they couldn't find it. somewhere under the used turbos stacked up inthe corner by the blowoffs. You'd have to see it to believe it.

Do you mean swap the motors or the heads?

Its not possible to get a clean install with swapping the heads. I know some people have a write up on it but it sucks and is not stable.

Use the search button to find out a whole lot of info on swapping the motors.

Yes. Of course!

Did you know that we have a search button up on the top right of the page? This subject has been discussed on this forum at length, so you should be able to find alot of information. I can say that there is alot more to it than just engine and wires. You will have to swap a few other things you wouldnt normally think about.

Good luck!
