Searched, but couldn't find info. Mine is cracked and busted. How hard is it to replace headlight arms? They are 26034 and 26084 in below diagram. I think on motor side, it's bolted on, but not sure on headlight housing side. Is it pressed, clip on or what?

almost like a pillowball joint, plastic link pops on/off the metal ball joint.

Best way to figure something out is to go out to the car and try to figure it out. This is one of the most simplest things to repair, install etc...

I only flame because I see "Vert Encyclopedia". Lol at that if you cant take off the headlight arms.

just make sure that if you take them off a car in the junk yard that you pry from both sides of the joint otherwise you willl break the plasting end on it. trust me ive broke several.

Problem is I have to order a new pair of arms and they are about $120. I can go to junkyard and pull them out, but what if headlights are down and battery is not there or headlight switch doesn't work. I think headlights have to be up and fisnisher to remove it. Top and bottom plastic parts are badly cracked on mine, so I doubt I'll find a clean set in junkyard. Anyway, worst case I have to spend about $120, so I had to ask before I try to replace them. I'll go to junkyard and find some from there tomorrow.

if the headlights are down. take the plastic cap off the top of the motor for the headlight, it has a manual override of the electrical system just turn the knob to lift the headlights.

I forgot about that. Actually, I was using to troubleshoot last night and I forgot. My bad...

Mine looks like this. I used a flat head screw driver to pop the ball them from the ball joint. It was easy. I also pulled a pair from a junkyard. They have tine cracks, so I'm going to reinforce them with epoxy. idk, but it looks like putting them back on perfectly can be a pain.

I love popup headlights, but man, this thing is hard to maintain and fix. Okay, replaced the arms and found out driver's side motor is bad and passenger side motor makes noise when it goes down, so I pulled a set of headlight motors from junkyard and replaced both motors. Now, passenger side comes up slower than driver's side. I guess there's a slight difference when they operate. I'm so determined to fix this, so I got another set of motors. I'll install all of them and find out which pair works most closely. Brand new set is over $500, so it's out of question. My back is hurting so bad.

from what ive found, cleaning up the ground wire that grounds the motor to the bracket will help with the unequal speeds/slowness.

Thanks, but I tried and it didn't work.

It turned out all motors are NOT the same. Some turn faster than the other. I've removed 6 motors(2 from my car and 4 from junk cars) and installed about 4-5 times on both sides and found a perfect pair. Now they are in perfect synch. Man, space was very tight, so it wasn't easy to work on it. Now I know how to remove arms, adjust length of arms and pivot points to get perfect angle, height and whatnot. It's been fun. Pop-ups FTW.

I'm glad you got it all figured out. FYI, some one once told me that the knob on the top of the motors effects how the lights pop up. Not sure if it's true but I would have tried that first.

Knobs are their for the safety and convenience. For example, if your motor is out, you can turn the knob, raise the headlight and drive around that way. I used it to fine tune the arm's length and install it correctly. Once you use the switch to turn on/off the headlights, settings that you jusy did with the knobs are gone.
