have fun with that. look at the obvious. You'll need the dash, console, rack, firewall, a welder, and to extend the harness.

why the hell anyone would want to do this is beyond me. but this has been discussed before with a write up from way back when "oh man I've converted my car to totally JDM!" crap was still considered cool.

Ahaha why??? I will show you when im done. Considering all the parts you listed i have. And if you read my thread throughly i said i had the frontclip already. So what you posted was a total waste of time for you and me, because you didnt answer one part of my question. Thats the problem with forums no one wants to help anyone... all thing do is bash on everyone asking a question just to get a simple answer. So thanks anyway.

i think the reason that he didnt give you much information is that this has been discussed many times and a few people have even posted pictures of their progress as they successfullly completed this job.

the main problem is the fact that the fire wall is completely different. unbolting the LHD parts and bolting the RHD ones on is the easy part. some people just cut the firewall out of the clip and then cut the same area out of their 240. then they weld the new peice in. this is called sectioning and i consider it the wrong way to do it.

the right way to do it is to completely strip down the front half of your 240 including the windsheild. you then need to drill out each and every one of the spot welds that hold the firewall in place. there will also be some "glue" type stuff that is to make it waterproof. now repeat this process on the front clip. place the RHD firewall in place and fill in all of those hundreds of spot welds that you drilled out with plug welds. now replace your windshield and bolt on the rack, put in your steering column etc. now try to get ahold of an entire body harness for a silvia or 180 and strip the back half of your interior so you can put it in. or extend the harness from the clip that you just installed into the dash over to what is now the passenger side of the car so that your fuel pump and tail lights will work. now put the dash in so it is RHD. now look at your door panel and realize that you cant put your power windows both down unless you reach over to what is now the passenger side. now go show off your RHD car and hope that no one notices that your e-brake handle is in the wrong location to be a real jdm car. then dont go to drive thrus or toll booths anymore because it is a pain in the butt. did i mention i think this is a big waste of time? your time would be better spent, in my opinion, on something else.

if you really want a RHD car, pick up an r32 skyline gts-t and make it fast. or better yet, get a pulsar gti-r and see the perplexed look on peoples face when they try to figure out what the heck you are driving. i love the hatchback equipped with top mount, hood scoop, and AWD sr20 setup.
