I am waiting on lower intake - head gasket but I want to install the head in the car and get that taken care of.

Is it hard to install the entire intake (plenum + lower) to the head once the head is in the car?

Thanks

nope not at all, so long as you have a decent assortment of tools to work with.

Some of the upper --> lower manifold bolts are a little tricky, but not hard by any means. I seem to remember the ones in the middle being a little bit of a pain, but its easy enough. I would remove all the manifold brace things beforehand, otherwise it will suck. The first time I did it I remember being surprised at how easy it was.

I remember having to slide a 3/8 - 6" long extenstion inbetween a few of the runners, then clipping the 14mm socket on to the end in order to access a few of the bolts.

are you guys installing the intake (upper and lower) together to the engine? Or the lower to the engine, then the upper to the lower? I would like to keep upper and lower together, if possible.

I seen to remember having to remove the upper, then the lower, because some of the bolts from the lower manifold to the head are impossible to reach with the bolts from the upper to lower manifold still in place.
