How hard is head gasket replacement on a vq35?

I am debating buying a 2003 350z for a decent price, it has a blown head gasket/gaskets. I was considering doing the work myself but wondering how much work it is. any advice would be helpful, a writeup or walk-through would be best, a large factor would be if the motor needs to be pulled in order to replace the hg. i was also contemplating an ls1 swap, it sounds good in theory, but in actuality is pretty involved, so i think i would end up fixing the stock motor unless i can get more support on an ls1 swap.
