Well, the speedo isn't necessarily that accurate up to that speed, especially since our cars are older. Also, just because you accelerated for another 10 seconds doesn't mean you went much faster - once you almost as fast as you can go, you can accelerate for 10 days, doesn't mean you'll go faster... Our cars stock can't really go much more 115, so 110-115 sounds just about right.

Then you factor in other things, like drag.

If you really want to know, ask a cop to radar you while u do 5300rpm in 5th.

my car is not stock. and i know what u mean, but i know what acceleration feels like. she kept on accelerating after i passed the end of the speedo. plus if the speedo reads "115" at lets say 4000, and i get to 5400 in the same gear wouldn't that mean that i am well past "115"? don't get me wrong guys. i'm not expecting someone to tell me i was doing 150. i just know that u could figure it out mathematically using fromulas. oh and about drag, i drenched the exterior of the car with wd-40. so she was slipperier than a sophmore on homecoming! j/k

Your car's not stock... so what do you have?

Plus, I don't believe the speedo should be maxed out @ only 4k...

I can tell you my speedo says I'm going 90mph when I hit the highway... in reality, my speedo's just off - unless everyone else on the highway was doing 85... in the slow lane.

I was tired. Unlike you, I was actually racing @ the autox track all weekend instead running on the highway going "weeee, look @ me, my car can go faster than a minivan"...

theoretically -> theoretical.

It's not the wrong context smart ***, it was incorrect grammar (in this case, using an adverb when I was suppose to use an adjective) - context has to do w/ semantics...

so when ur not tired from autoxing u try to pick verbal battles online? ur so tough. stick to driving ur car so u can save the forums for what they are for. and about "theoretical", u say tomato, i say potato.
