not much happening here and some other posts got me thinking how fast is your Z? none of this well "I pulled on a guy with a 12 second mustang" I wanna know how fast it really is as in put up a pic of your timeslip, or at least a link to your published time as is my case

71 240Z, 83 turbo motor, megasquirt:13.010 @107.75the linkhttp://www.grassrootsmotorsports.com/2005drag.htm9th one down number 13

I dont have a scanner and the last time I moved i lost my timeslips anyway. But my non turbo Z32 ran a 14.08 @ 104mph last year. Yes I said non turbo a intake and a 100 shot of gas do wonders. This year hopefuly 11s.

11's are a long way from 14's turbo swap happening?

No slip....so I guess my info is kinda worthless.

But in 01 with intake/exhaust/computer I ran a 12.86. Car should be back together and back on the road here soon to finish putting the break in miles on it. If I get them on by this fall and have time to run/tune it I should be looking somewhere in the 10's.

Drag racing is so f'ing boring though. Lap times or auto-x times are better

81 NA 90% stock (MSA "exhaust" ) ran a 16.2 @ 81MPH. No time slip readily available - I mean come on its a fricken 16 . But that was with a unopened motor w/ 220k+ miles on it

10's ! wow! yeah you gotta get a slip for that one lets see in a 3500lb car that's be about 550whp! the 12.86 would only take about 325whp so your looking at almost double the power!?

and yeah I too am an autocrosser but it's kinda hard to quantify the numbers with other guys across the country, if only there were a traviling fixed postions road course we could all drive then compare but my brakes wouldn't like that autocross is the limit for the stock brakes the'll be updated soon

Actually she's down to more of the 3300 range. There was a thread somewhere on here where I put together a list of a good chunk of the weight I've dropped off the car. But yeah, she'll easily be putting down 550whp Should be fun. Hope to have it put back together, again, and back on the road here in about a month or so.

Good to hear you autocross as well....very small number of us out there. I never see Z's at the tracks.

well the early Z's dominated the track with the no longer available FIA brake setup, even the 78-83 models were pretty popular but from 84 on up the Z's just got too heavy and too complicated with power everything to be competetive track cars even the new 350Z "track" model isn't suitable for track use, the Z went from untamed sports car to GT car in 79, I wish nissan would offer a true "Track" model not that I could afford it but it would be nice to see them reaching out to the racers the way ford does

Let us not forget about them voiding warranty work if the car has actually been used in a track event.

Yup, cars in the shop right now with a TT motor sitting next to it. So a TT with every bolt on there is, Ashspec ECU for starters then shell be programed with the Zemulator for race gas and probably a 100 shot maybe 125 shot. The way I look at it if I can get the car off the line it should break into the 11's.

be careful, NOS + Turbo= Big Boom! don't ask how I know honestly the Nitrous is rather unnecessary I have seen stock turbo'd Z32's put over 400 whp

Yeah im being careful there will be lots of time spent on a dyno, only thing that worries me about these motors are the rod bearings they are kinda weak, dont ask me how I know that.

I ran a 12.3 @ 104 a couple weekends ago. My car was cutting out at full boost in 3rd gear - I'm hoping it was just the plug gap, but haven't had a chance to crack her open again in 3rd to see if gapping down to .028" fixed the problem.

Note the 7.7 in the 1/8 mile before the car started to cut out. Should definitely be in the 11s once I get it resolved.

Well my track time hasn't been what I would like it to be.

I have ran our local 1/8 mile track a few time with my best being a 9.056 @ 79.49 with a 2.1 60ft (Bone Stock).

Not "Fast" but for a stock N/A V6 its pretty quick.

No time slip, but I hit an indicated 140mph on VIR's backstraight. If the straight was longer, I think she had more left in her
