How fast am I going?

My speedo went out so I was just wondering, about how many miles per hour would I be going in 3rd gear at 6,000 rpms? Thnx.

if you are in a ka24de about...80 close to that. if you are in a ka24e i think like 75.

I got a similar question. . . mine went out also, and was wondering how fast am I going in 5th gear @ 5500 rpmJust curious. I'd appreciate your input.

5th at 5500 is going to be very fast, depending on a lot of factors probably close to 145. For my sohc i estimated that if i was turbocharged and w/o a speed govorner i could hit 165mph+ but then my tires are about 3% upsized so that would be 165mph+3%

Basically when your going that fast lots of things change your true speed, to find out for sure run it at 5500 by your nearest highway patrolman and he'll tell you exactly how fast you were going.

it may have been 5000rpm. . . Not sure though. . . I was trying to pay more attention to the road. Just wondering how fast I was going. . . I know that it wasn't 145, and definately nowhere near 160+I was guessing 115ish. . . I don't have any serious power or anything. Thanks for your replies

I don't think you could even make it to 5000 in 5th-unless somethings modified/malfunctioning

I ran mine up to the fuel cutoff and IIRC it was around 4500RPMs and about 115-118 MPH

i made it to 5300 in 5th in my altima against a maxima, both of us were spraying too. the dude in the max said we were doing 140+. my needle was almost back to 0 when i looked down.

I hate to thread steal and all, but since we're all on the subject, does anybody know the speeds for the following rpm's in the following gears:

1) 3000RPM 5th Gear

2)2500RPM 4th Gear

3)2500RPM 3rd Gear

This is a KA24DE by the way with stock P195/60 tires. Thank you.

there are many calculators on the net where you can put in tire size/gear ratios and get speeds (or any combination so long as you leave only one variable)
