The other night, my husband dropped me off in front of a restaurant so that he could go park the Murano.I forgot that I had the intelligent key in my purse, and got a table. My husband came in and said that I freaked him out, and that he was worried that the Murano would just stop after a minute.

Has anyone tested the limit? Would it just stop?

Thanks!

Well, just tonight, I stopped at the grocery store. The wife staid in the Murano and I left the A/C running while I went in and there was no problem with the engine continuing to run, I was probably about 200 feet inside a metal/concrete building.

I am wondering if you need the iKey to start it, but that's it.Once it's running, the iKey doesn't need to be near by.Push the stop button, turns off, but can't be restarted if the iKey isn't in the car?Who wants to test that theory?I can on Sept. 30th. That's when I get my Murano.I'm so excited...

You're correct. The car will continue to run without the key until it's turned off. Once it's shut down you can't start it without the key.
