That is our favorite VW tech Jerry (awdjdmtalon) mimicking a Grand Am Daytona Prototype racecar with his mouth.
His reward? A free flag... in which he bragged about the whole ride back.

This all went down at the Bosch Engineering 250 at Virginia International Raceway this past weekend, and at this one specific booth in the South Paddock they had a girl and guy MC'ing. They were giving away free stuff to people who would answer their automotive trivia questions correctly, so being the automotive enthusiasts that we were we couldn't pass it up. I wasn't as proactive about getting free stuff as Jerry because I just didn't have the bag space to carry everything, but Jerry on the other hand, was on a mission to get free stuff. We went back to that booth and did the trivia stuff at least twice. I didn't mind it; I mean the stuff was free, it was fun, and the girl MC was EXTREMELY cute.
As for the rest of the event, I really had a great time but was completely exhausted due to lack of sleep the night prior and a full days worth of walking. Along with the Bosch Engineering Rolex race, we watched the VW TDI Cup which was also pretty interesting. The turnout this year was far greater than that of last year, and all in all, I believe this years event was a lot better than last years. I guess it also helped that we got to park/hang out with a local GTO club (they were all great people and really nice!). Ironically enough, when we got to the track we pulled in behind two GTO's and got directed to their parking pen and we were going to do a parade lap with them but due to some communication complications we didn't get to, but that didn't ruin the day. We had a really great Saturday and I got the chance to get some pretty decent pictures.
The VW TDI Cup race.

Some 'stangs parked in the same pen as the GTO club we parked with.

The competition was fierce.

BBQ out back.

I am obsessed with Ferrari's...
But, here is a Ferrari in it's natural element.
