how far off?

Was wondering if anybody new how far there speedo is off with the j30 vlsd in an s-13? Seems like mine is off about 5-7 mph judgeing by the other traffic on the road. I haven't had time to check it yet. Work keeps getting in the way.

I'm not 100% sure, but it should be the same, I'm sure it has the exact gear ratio as the stocker.

I don't know if it throws off the speedo, but I know it changes final gear ratio. Searching should produce some numbers.

mine is like 20mph off on the freeway

ever since the vlsd swap

what gear ratio do I have? it has a bigger/finned oil pan and the previous owner said it's from canadian r32

stock open 240sx diff has a ratio of 4.10stock J30 VLSD has a ratio of 3.92

Damn that would be a big difference, So then which two are the same? the 300zx non turbo and the 240's?

tha's right. You could still get the j30 and change pinion and ring w/the stocker...so I don't see what the big deal is...
