Just thought "how far your versa has come since you purchased it" would be an interesting topic since a lot of us have had our Versa's awhile now.. and many have stated or are under going sustantial tuning work...

Me personally I have been enjoying reading others posts on what they have are or planning to do, as well as determining what I think will be my next mod to do..

So far I am on track with most my plans to have a clean lightly perfomance modded versa ( gotta keep the high gas milage ) no boost plans for me... just some upgrades to the existing..

So how about your versa how far has it come?

Sadly, my car has gone no where. Finally have a set plan and budget for it. Hopefully it will take off soon.

I tend to get jealous reading everyone modifications and see the creativity and my car just sitting there, putting on miles.

Hopefully within these next couple of weeks I can fix that though! Good luck with your Versa, Nismo!

Audio only so far, and a nice dinger.

I plan on putting a Mac Mini in it with a touchscreen someday soon, then some slight aesthetic mods like wheels, a drop, and a new grille when I can find one.

How much have you looked into doing the mini + touch screen? My bro recently did one in his car but never really finished the project... what system/software package do you intend to run? What addons (GPS, others) do you want to include?

I've been thinking about putting a computer in and will most likely go the mini route. I am very excited for the release of 10.5 and hope that some of the iPhone/iPod Touch's multi-touch tech makes it into the new system. That would make for some very interesting possibilities in a car computer.

What have other people done for car computers? Has anyone ever connected their car computer to read the engine diagnostics and/or instruments (ie. tach, spedo, gas, temp gages)?

To tell you the truth, I've done almost nothing to the Versa and I'm kinda glad. The only thing I've done to it was add two LEDs which shine down on the cupholders. For years, (I'm 41) I've always done stuff to customize my cars. I usually upgrade the wheels & tires, add a better stereo & speakers...whatever. This time around we simply ordered the car with a few factory goodies that we wanted and I think I'll leave it alone. We got the SL with it's usual upgrades from the S and added a few things like the conv package. We really like the car "as is".

Well the first thing i did to my Versa was that i got some nice 17'' rims for it and those are on falken tires. I kept the stock wheels( on the SL) so i can use those for the winter, since they are all-season. Next, I installed the AEM cold-air intake, which is a mod i'm very happy with. Then I found some Blue LED's that fit into the stock dome, map, parking lights, and license plate lights. I got blue cuz my car is blue. I luv those LED's!! That was a very low cost mod, ut made a huge difference. Then, my fav mod so far has to be my HID's. They are AWESOME!! I didnt get some cheap ones off ebay, but got 2 actually HID kits. They come with the ballasts and stuff. So i got 6000K for my headlights and 8000K for my foglights. I would recommend this mod to everyone. If you would like info, just ask me. It wasnt very expensive at all. The only downfall is you have to take the grille, front bumper, and two front wheels off- lol

SO far those are the mods ive accomplished for my Versa. Im sure theere will be more to come in the future, if so, ill let everyone know.

Do you have the Falken Ziex 512's? I have those on my Scion xA. I really like them, but they seem to be wearing down quickly. Oh...that also reminds me....I did replace the stock headlight bulbs in the Versa with Sylvania SilverStars.

But Audio is in the near future. I'm a MECA and USACi competitor and gotta get ready for the next season.

Added the rear bumper protector to the top of the back bumper.

Plan is to get a Scanguage II eventually and a slim chance of replacing the rims when the original tires wear out, but only if we start having the hubcap problems some others are having.

That's it. The car is fine as our transportation car as-is.

heh i live a list of about $10k of things I want to do to my Versa but cause of money issues (as for everyone) I can't. I'm thinking security first, then suspension, then performance...maybe exterior but I'm holding that for last last.

Well I've been back and forth on my Versa with the performance mods. Started with Eibach springs then a DC strut bar and AEM CAI. I have since removed the Intake and strut bar to help fund the project in my sig. The springs will stay on and I may get rims/tires when the current tires wear out. I just ordered all my audio stuff (includes head unit, sirius SR, Ipod interface, fosgate speakers, sub and amp) and they will be here the beginning of next week. Sounddomain.com is having a huge blowout right now on alot of stuff or I probably wouldn't have done anything. The exterior needs the front bumper replaced (gotta love california freeways) but other than that I might add an exhaust tip of some sort eventually.

Same here. Aside from tint, I don't think I'll ever do anything to our V besides maintenance. We've got plenty of goodies to keep us entertained and I like the looks of the stock rims and factory body kit. I guess in general I've always been one to rock the stock look.

Well I was rear ended 5 minutes out of the dealership and I lost a hub cap.

On the plus side the person who hit me had insurance so I will likely have a new rear end by the end of next week and I found my hub cap on the side of the road near my job. It went on very easily.

The only thing I've done are the floor mats.

Runs great, drives great. Not into wheels, 10,000 watt stereos or a CAI for a four banger.

I've looked into it quite alot, actually. My plan is to run front row off of iTunes with a mouse mod so that the touch screen can control front row. I only really intend to use it for music, as I have around 120 GB of music and it would be a much more efficient way of navigating through it. As for GPS and other functions, I may install Windows and get some programs for that OS, since Mac lacks anything worth using. I'm just going to play around with it when I get it, I'll see what is out there.

Well, one week after I bought mine (July 4), I tint my window. After that I put strut bar on; floor mat, and foglamps. My next project is to get a decent amp on my stereo since I am mostly in traffice to and from work. I am still debating whether or not to get CAI, complete set of exaust system, new sets of rims. But so far, my wife is complaining.

Well I finally did it, I went a purchased a set of rims. I got a set of 4 dark gray 15" Enkei GF1s to be used with my stock tires for $322 installed OTD cost. I will bring my car into Discount Tire Company on friday to have them put in.

I am debating what to do with my stock wheels/hubcaps. Guess I will save them in case I ever ruin my rims.

If you didn't live in texas, the answer would be to mount a set of studded or snow tires to them and use em in the winter.
