How far can you drive this car without the key???

I let my friend test drive my car M35x, so I started the car so he took it out for test drive (he drove off my eye sight) pretty far and we both realized that I had the key in my pants pocket...I was standing outside so I can hear how this car sounds like. We were both laughing cuz without the key inside. I'm wondering is there some kind of distance range where car turns off or anything??

With the type of bypass system Infinti uses the key only needs to be in range for the start of the car, after that you could drive across the country without the key anywhere near the car. Just don't shut it off or you'll be screwed!

Agree with Boon. There was a post on here a few months ago where someone let someone else borrow their car for to go to the mall or something and the the borrower couldn't start the car afterwords since he didn't have the key.
