I used a KA clutch on my CA. I did as I read online and removed one dowl pin and drilled out some of the holes.

Now I'm starting to read that you should remove all of the dowl pins and drill all the holes.

So am I going to have to pull my transmission to redo the pressure plate or do you think it'll last a while.

The pins cause issue with it fitting onto the flywheel correctly. If you removed enough to get it to fit and it works right now, you should be fine.

I prefer ACT products because of everyones good experiences around here with them in general. I heard the KA clutch works so I used that because I like ACT.

Its only ghetto rigging if it looks or runs like crap.

I don't think that because something needs fitting to work it's gettho, that's probably way better than a CA cheap ebay clutch. DIY ftw...

ghetto is the approach, not the result. Hose clamp on the fuel return line works as a field expedient FPR but it's still ghetto. The HKS "technicians" couldn't figure that one out.

You can get CA specific clutches stateside very easily. I've been running SPEC clutches for year's w/o any real problems.

I've been running ka clutch for two years thru hours of drag use without a problem. Here was my last post about it.
