If you're mechanically inclined, I'd say it's about a 2. Everything lines up. That's with using mostly hand tools too. Then again, I use to swap out big diesel engines and transmission on a daily basis. Drifting.com has a really good SR swap video, if you'd like to see step by step instructions.

I agree with him with "2". I had someone help me put it on a engine stand, drop it into the car and startup but everything else I did by myself.............took me a almost a year but....

Check out "the kids 240" link in my signature. We had a bunch of fun!

Everything you need, as far as info, is here on the NICO forums. Do lot's of reading before you ask questions. Search button is up there on the top right corner.

Swap is a piece of cake, auto to manual makes it a little harder. Go for it

It is easy. Only problem I had was I had the wrong engine mounts because one of mine broke so after going through 2 sets of mounts it was frustrating, but when I finally got the right ones, the engine was running the next day lol

you can think of it as doing alot of simple things. thats what the swap basically is, a lot of simple things you need to do one after the other. i guess you can watch the dvd from drifting.com, which i've seen, and i think is quite useless. the best thing you can do is keep yourself organized, ziplock bags to keep your bolts and nuts in, with marker to write where they came from. being careful not to strip things. taking things step by step. using your common sense. keeping your tools organized. reading through the walkthroughs can help. they will give you an idea of what you need to do in what order.

Get the DVD. It will save you from having to go back and redo things the hard way. The only problems I had were just dealing with an old car. For example stripped bolts and broken plugs.
