I was thinking of painting my rims bronze but the thing is they are pretty new and I am concerned about the paint flaking off. How durable is the paint and is there a special type that should be used also I will not be driving in the winter with these rims so salt won't be an issue.

Use Duplicolor high-performance wheel paint. (Autozone or Advance Auto). I believe it comes in gunmetal, silver, bronze, black and a clearcoat.

1.)I would spray them with a degreaser and clean them up2.)sand them down with some 1000 grit3.)wash them agian4.)wipe them down with alcohol or paint thinner 5.)spray 3-5 light even coats of color6.)spray 3-5 light even coats of clear Enjoy!

Heres a set I painted on my integra, they lasted for about 1.5 yrs. until I sold it.

I went from gold to silver (dumb previous owner)

Heres a good writeup: http://www.peterbeers.net/vw_r...x.htm
