I just called Joe to get prices on replacement struts for a Not T y33. My quote was $676 all the way around. How does a fresh suspension Non T car ride? Any input? Would you do it?

Keep in mind I have a T.

Also Q45 tech. Do you see any issues in running T springs on non T struts?

It rides extremely smooth, as good as a 2005 Lexus ES300 I drove from Oklahoma. Even after I replaced my front struts (210,000 miles)I noticed very little difference in ride/handling.

What is the price difference between the standard and the touring for replacement struts.

Just the fronts are nearly $400 for T struts. It's just an option that I don't need. It's kind of cool but not needed.

I don't think that non touring struts will work on the touring model.

Well, at 48K, Ithought the stock struts were plenty stiff.

But I would keep a t model intact, for resale if nothing else. Just a few hundred more.

Plenty stiff in a good way?

Im not worried about resale. I have 177K on the car. It'a already worth nothing.

Yeah, I thought the t and ae adjustable were just harsher when set at full sport.

But the ae and t shocks may be good for an extra 10K or 20 K because of stiffer valve settings? Soemthing to think about.

My main objections to the stock set-up is the stock spring rate being too low. Everything else I like.

Yea, going back to stock. I just honestly don't enjoy the car as much as I did. It gets plenty of looks but that really means nothing to me. I just want a smooth riding car again. The teins are great but not for wisconsin. I would keep them but the roads here in wisconsin heeve up in the winter time and the ride doubles in harshness.

wow is the ride that bad?

I'm about to lower my car soon and was under the impression that it was not too bad.

You're in L.A. at that, which IMO the roads here suck. Like D.C. but obviously L.A. is about 200x bigger geographically. Qproject, if you want, you're welcome to come check out how mine rides.

Exactly why im keeping the suspension on my Y33 stock. The extremely cold temps in the winter make the suspension very harsh. Add that plus snow, and it's just not worth it anymore.
