I am thinking about getting 1 for my 06 m35x.What company is better Injen or Fujita? or even another if there is one?How much of a power gain do you notice?Any improvements on gas? If I was able to get an additional 2-3 mpg, I think it would be worth it just for that.

What would be better cold air or short ram

What are the problems of having a cold air intake? or risks? such as driving in rain.

Thank you

I posted this on here since there are more G tuners than M tuners. It would be great if I could get some detail on mpg increase with an automatic 5 speed.

The link you posted is trash because many people on this forum and i am sure others have had problems with them.

And any benefit at all you get from a "Cold air intake" will kill you engine because of all the crap let in because of the new intake.

So keep it stock.

The link is no good as stated.

I'm not a fan of the CAI as there can be more chances for problems arising (debris, water etc)

I do however love my JWT Popcharger. Some others are Stillen and Fujita..

This was my first MOD and I don't regret it one bit!

The only risk with a CAI in water is if you drive into deep water and totally submerge the filter. Otherwise, no issues.

SRI - short ram intakes are known to be better for response and even for colder air - assuming you are blocking out all the hot engine air. You need a heatshield no matter what you do. Stock intake box does the best job of shielding heat, Stillen airbox is 2nd. JWT has the best designed filter of all that I've seen.

Depends on the vehicle and year. In general, Nissan/Infiniti factory intakes are not that restrictive. Hell, on the Maxima with the VQ35 I think the GAB had the best hp increases per dyno testing.
